This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for the processing and protection of personal data and the use of cookies provided by Users in connection with the use of the puzzleresults.eu website.

2. Purposes and legal basis for data processing
Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- Handling contact inquiries: If you use the "Contact" tab or send us an email, we will process your email address and other data provided in the message to respond. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Website management and event support (Staff Panel): For people with access to the admin panel (
/manage), data is processed to authorize and ensure system security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). - Ensuring website security and stability: Maintaining server logs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Traffic analysis and media playback: With your explicit consent, we analyze website statistics (Google Analytics) and enable live stream playback (YouTube). The legal basis is your voluntary consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
3. Cookies
The puzzleresults.eu website uses cookies (small text files saved on the User's device). During your first visit to the site, we display a banner asking for your consent to use them.
We use the following types of cookies:
- Necessary (Technical): They are absolutely essential for the website to function (e.g., remembering the language, logging into the
/managetab, saving your cookie preferences). By law, they load by default and do not require consent. - Analytical (Google Analytics 4): With your explicit consent, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous visit statistics. User IP addresses are anonymized by us.
- Marketing (YouTube): With your explicit consent, we embed a video player from YouTube. Launching the player involves loading Google cookies.
Managing cookies (Withdrawing consent): You can change your preferences at any time, including completely withdrawing your consent to analytical and marketing cookies. To do this, click the "Manage Cookies" link in the website footer.
The User can also completely block cookies in their browser settings, however, this may cause some website functions to work incorrectly (e.g., the need to re-select the language).
4. Server logs
Using the website involves sending queries to the server where the website is stored. Each query directed to the server is saved in the server logs.
Logs include, among others, the User's IP address, server date and time, information about the web browser and operating system. The information saved in the logs is anonymized – it is not associated with specific individuals using the site and is used solely for administrative purposes and diagnosing errors by the hosting company.
5. Data retention period
- We store data from contact inquiries for the time necessary to handle the correspondence and potential defense against claims.
- Server logs are stored for the time specified in the hosting provider's regulations, after which they are automatically deleted.
- Anonymized analytical data (Google Analytics) is stored by default for a period of 2 months.
6. User Rights
In connection with the processing of personal data by the Controller, the User has the following rights:
- The right to access your data and receive a copy of it.
- The right to rectify (correct) your data.
- The right to delete data (if there are no grounds for further processing).
- The right to restrict data processing.
- The right to object to processing.
- The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland (PUODO).
7. Sharing data with third parties
Your data is not sold to third parties for marketing purposes. Data recipients may be entities providing technical support for the website (e.g., hosting provider OVH). If you give voluntary consent for analytics and media, data (such as anonymized IP addresses or cookie identifiers) may be shared with Google Ireland Limited in connection with Google Analytics and YouTube services.
8. Anti-spam protection (reCAPTCHA)
To protect forms and the website from spam and abuse, we use the Google reCAPTCHA v3 service. This analysis is based on evaluating various information (e.g., IP address, time spent on the page, mouse movements). The processing of this data is subject to Google's separate Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
